We begin in the temple yurt with a private one-to-one ceremony, sharing a heart-warming ceremonial cacao elixir to open and ground your spirit. From there, we wash away what no longer serves you and ease into a nourishing head massage.
With a garden view and beautiful, soothing sounds surrounding you, your hair is cut in presence and intention — a ritual of release, renewal, and alignment.

the history of Healing Haircuts

After working in different fields, a moment in Tiruvannamalai, India, in 2007 revealed something to me:
"You are looking for the grass, while you are standing in the field."
I was surrounded by hairdressers; my roommate and dearest friend became my teachers as well. At the time, we were working at Kinki Hairdressers. But as soon as I received the gift of cutting hair, we opened our own studio: Vagabond Collective, named after a manga series about the life of the samurai swordsman Musashi.
I worked one-on-one, using only organic products.

The true Vagabond in me called, and in 2012 I set out on a journey through South and North America.
My inner journey deepened. After a dark retreat in 2014, I had a vision: I could let go of all my attachments…
All I needed to bring back into the light were my scissors.

“Holistic Haircuts” came into being, and wherever I go, my scissors are with me.
Hair brings so much depth to my life through the connections with people, and through the stories the hair carries from the inside out. Hair holds energetic information, and to me, it’s an art to connect all these elements.
Working with hair has become my kung fu, its precision in every touch.
I’ve transformed “holistic” into healing hair & cuts, because now, all the aspects are coming together.
